MELANCHOLY NYMPH. AKA and see "'Twas when the sea was Rroaring." The song was composed and set by the classical composer George Freidrich Handel (1685-1759) for the production The What d'ye Call it? (1715). It appears in Calliope (1746, part 1, No. 168), John Sadler's Muses Delight (1754, p. 176), and similar songsters, and was printed on single sheets.
