LAWSON'S STRATHSPEY. Scottish, Strathspey. D Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AAB. Nigel Gatherer found this strathspey, probably unpublished, by James Scott Skinner in the author's hand on a scrap of paper in Perth Library. A note with the tune read: "Composed in Perth Station...Lawson's Strathspey...by J S Skinner...while waiting for a train...Died in Canada...April 1920."
