OLD MAN JONES'S PUMP. American. USA, southwestern Pa. A novelty piece played by a man named Hogg for the collector Samuel Bayard. The second part was a series of dischords on the A and E strings of ascending pitch, supposedly sounding very much like and old hand pump.
