POLAR BEAR JIG. Canadian, Metis, jig (6/8 time). G major (1st part), D major (2nd part). Standard tuning. AABB. Composed by Reg Bouvette. Patty Kusturok recalls that Reg told her that the tune was written after seeing polar bears on a trip to Yellowknife, and that the tune reminded him of a polar bear lumbering over the snow.
