THREE WAY HORNPIPE. American, Reel (2/4 time). USA, Cumberland Plateau (Tenn./Ky.). A Major. Standard or AEae tuning (fiddle). AA'AA'BB'BB'CC'. The tune was recorded Sgt. Alvin York on a home recording machine of the playing of his friend and neighbor, John Sharp (1894-1964) of Sharp Place, Jamestown, Cumberland Plateau, northern Tennessee. The tune is a 'hornpipe' in name only; it is played as a fast breakdown.
