Alvin York on a home recording machine of the playing of his friend and neighbor, John Sharp (1894-1964) of Sharp Place, Jamestown, Cumberland Plateau, northern Tennessee. The tune is a 'hornpipe' in name only; it is played as a fast breakdown.
