SHUN(S)TER'S HORNPIPE. AKA and see "Pansy Blossom (1) (The)," “St. Elmo Hornpipe,” "Sunshine Hornpipe (The)." American, Hornpipe (whole time). A Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. "Can be used as a Clog" (Cole). Howe lists the tune among the schottisches. Curiously, Howe’s title is “Shunter’s Hornpipe,” but by the time of the Cole printing it the name had acquired an extra ‘s’—“Shunster’s Hornpipe.”
