The tune also appears in the 1790 music manuscript collection (p. 32) of London musician Thomas Hammersley, and the large 1840 music manuscript of multi-instrumentalist John Rook of Waverton, near Wigton, Cumbria. There are other, unrelated, country dance tunes with the same title.
