TUNBRIDGE FRISK. English, Country Dance (cut time). G Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AB, AABB. The tune was printed in several country dance and oboe tutor collections of the mid-18th century. It was also entered into the c. 1747 music manuscript collection of Cheapside, London, musician Walter Rainstorp.

Frisk, to "dance, leap, skip, or gambol", was a term for a frolic or dance. Wikipedia:Royal_Tunbridge_Wells is a town in Kent, England, 30 miles (50 kilometres) southeast of central London, famous as a spa and resort town in the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries.
