'TIT MONDE (Little One). AKA - "Te Mone." Cajun, Waltz (3/4 time). USA, southwestern Louisiana. D Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). A(Vocal)BBAA(Vocal)B. The 78 RPM recording of accordion player Iry LeJeune and his band was released as "Te Mone." 'Tit Monde' is a term of endearment, meaning roughly 'you're my whole world'. LeJeune's waltz is informed by accordion player Amede Ardoin's 1934 recording "Oberlin".
