Collector George Petrie remarked that the air was "the original form of ‘My Ain Kind Dearie (2)'", and recorded two versions of the tune, noted from Frank Keane. Petrie also suggested comparison with "Baile Bheachain", the tune he printed directly following (i.e. Stanford/Petrie No. 1431)
