ACHMONY. Scottish, Pipe Reel (whole time). A Mixolydian. Standard tuning (fiddle). AAB. This pipe reel was composed by fiddler-composer and dancing master J. Scott Skinner]] (1843-1927) and appears in a section tunes written in pipe style called "Warblings from the Hills" in Skinner's Logie Collection, published in 1888. The reel is dedicated to "P. Burgess, Glen Urquhard". Peter Burgess was a banker in Inverness, factor of Glenmoriston, and a member of the Gaelic Society of Inverness.
