ART O'KEEFFE'S [3]. AKA and see "Echoes of Killarney," "Well I know what Kitty wants." Irish, Slide (12/8 time). G Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AA'BB'. Art O'Keeffe was a neighbor and friend of County Kerry fiddler Denis Murphy, and played a tune at Murphy's funeral in 1974. He was a singer, fiddler and tin whistle player and one of the last surviving members of the Lisheen fife-and-drum band, captained by Murphy's father, Bill "The Weaver" Murphy. Frank Roche printed a version of the tune as "Echoes of Killarney" in 1927. Compare also with Roche's "Hen and all Her Broth (The)", a distanced but probably cognate version of the melody.
