BAGPIPE HORNPIPE [1], A. English, "Old" or Triple Hornpipe (3/2 time). A Minor. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABBCCDDEEFF. The melody is mainly confined to the compass of a ninth, and probably was based on an original bagpipe version. However, to play the tune as it appears in Wright's collection would require a bit of alteration in order to be played on the English bagpipes (no sharp 'A' or 'F' notes).
