BALTIMORE WALTZ. American, Waltz (3/4 time). G Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. The tune was composed by biography:George Saunders of Providence, Rhode Island. Saunders was a music teacher (self-professed "Professor of Music and Dancing") and ran a music shop where he sold instruments and sheet music. He also was in demand as a dance caller and musician from 1820's until his death in 1850. The waltz, along with a number of other tunes in the Saunders collection, was entered into the 1859 music manuscript copybook of American musician M.E. Eames.
