BARLEY MOW [1], THE. English, Jig (6/8 time). D Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). ABB. A 'Barley Mow' is a stack of barley set in a field at harvest, sometimes called a 'stook'.


"The Barley Mow" is also the name of a famous English folk-song, extolling brewed beverage through the use of anthropomorphism.
