G.B. Grayson & Henry Whitter
BARNYARD SERENADE. American, Reel (cut time). G Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. "Barnyard Serenade" is a blues-tinged version of "Old Hen Cackled (1) (The)" recorded by Ashe County, western North Carolina, fiddler G.B. Grayson (1887-1930) with guitarist and singer Henry Whitter for Victor Records in New York in August, 1928.

The "Barnyard Serenade" recorded by Vess Ossman, Spencer & Holt for Victor in 1910 is completely unrelated, being a recording of barnyard animal imitations with spoken words.
