BARROWBURN. AKA - "Barrow Burn Reel." Scottish, Irish; Reel. D Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. A modern composition by fiddler, bandleader and composer Addie Harper of Wick, Scotland. 'Burn' is a Scots word for stream. The tune is identified as a traditional Shetland reel on Sharon Shannon's album, who was apparently unaware that it is a modern composition.
