BATT HENRY'S FAVOURITE (BARN DANCE). AKA - "Batt Henry's Barndance." Irish, Barndance. G Major ('A' and 'B' parts) & D Major ('C' part). Standard tuning (fiddle). ABC. The tune was recorded in New York in May, 1932, by South Sligo fiddlers Paddy Killoran [1] (1904-1965) and Paddy Sweeney (1894-1974). The barn dance is not to be confused with another Killoran & Sweeney recording, "Batt Henry's Favorite (Reel)," a different tune, recorded in New York in 1938 (Decca 12179).
