BETTER DAY BETTER DEED. English, Country Dance Tune or Jig (6/8 time). D Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. The tune must have appealed to John Walsh for it appears in his Second Book of the Compleat Country Dancing Master, 3rd Edition (London, 1735, p. 105, and in the subsequent edition of 1749, p. 95) and in his The Third Book of the Compleat Country Dancing-Master (London, 1735, p. 253, and in the subsequent edition of 1749, p. 195).
