BITTNER. AKA - "Bitnar." AKA and see "Kramar," "Old Greene County," "Twelfth Virginia," "Old Wilkinsburg March." American, March. USA, southwestern Pa. D Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). ABC. Bayard heard this tune played by both fifers and fiddlers, but thinks that this name for the tune came from a once-famous old fifer named Ananias Bittner, from whom other fifers either learned it or associated it with.
