Standard tuning (fiddle). AABCC': AABCC (Demers). "Le Bobelo" is from the playing of Idas Boudreault (1880-1939) of Chicoutimi, Quebec, who passed the tune down to his son, Louis "Pitou" Boudreault. Versions of the tune in Quebecois tradition are also known as "Bordeleau (Le)," "Pèteuse (La)," "Quatre coins de St-Malo (Les)," and "Reel des enfants." The second strain of the tune is also shared with "Four Poster Bed (The)," a reel in Anglo tradition.
