BONAPARTE'S MARCH [3]. AKA and see "Battle of Waterloo," "Bonaparte Crossing the Alps," "Bonaparte Crossing the Rhine (2)," "Bonaparte Crossing the Rocky Mountains." Irish, Canadian, American; Hornpipe and March. USA, New England, Illinois. A Aeolian (Roche): A Dorian (Phillips). Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. No resemblance to "Bonaparte's March (1)" or "Bonaparte's March (2)"; it appears to be a variant of "Bonaparte Crossing the Alps." The march was also in the repertoire of Harvey "Pappy" Taylor (1894-1987), of Effingham, central-south Ill.
