BOODIE MAN, THE. AKA and see "Molly MacAlpin." Irish, March (2/4 time). E Dorian. Standard tuning (fiddle). AB. The tune (a version of "Moly MacAlpin") was well-known in North Kerry as a Wrenboy [1] march, played by the Bedford Wrenboys from Beford Cross Roads (near Listowell). There were verses set to it, now lost, that ended:
Stay away from the window,
Boodie man, boodie man.
