BOWL OF BIGG. AKA and see "Bob of Dunblane," "Boll of Bear," "Cailleach an dordon," "Kiss Me Fast," "Kiss Me Fast My Minnie's Coming." English, Jig. England, Northumberland. D Major (perhaps Mixolydian). Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. See alternate title "Boll of Bear." 'Bear' and 'bigg' are both names for barley, notes Matt Seattle, who also finds a derivative of the tune in Hall & Stafford's Charlton Memorial Tune Book (1956) as an unnamed "Jigg", but set in 2/4 time. See also Kiss Me Fast My Minnie's Coming for more.
