BRIDGIE CON MATT'S. AKA and see "Harnet's March." Irish, Polka (2/4 time). Ireland, Sliabh Luachra region of the Cork-Kerry border. G Major/E Minor. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. This version of the tune is named for fiddler Bridgie Con Matt Kelleher, nee Bridgie Murphy, one of the famed Weaver Murphy sisters from Lisheen, Gneeveguila, Co. Kerry. However, the melody appears to have had a long history in Sliabh Luachra, as a (ancestral) version can be found under the title "Harnet's March" in the mid-19th century music manuscript collection of Sliabh Luachra musician D. Curtin (No. 33, p. 13 [1]).
