BRITAINS, THE. AKA and see "Wooden Shoes." English, Country Dance Tune (2/2 time). C Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. Sharp notes: "To the tune of 'Wooden Shoes'" meaning that the dance was called The Britains, set to the tune of Wooden Shoes.
