BUCKS OF TIPPERARY. AKA and see "Buck of Tipperary (The)," "Drumeddie (A)," "Lads of Tipperary," "Malichi Daly," "Nurse's Song (The)," "Old Rolling Cork," "Prince William Henry's Return," "Taladh." Irish, Jig (6/8 time). D Mixolydian. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. Cannon wikipedia:James_Goodman_(musicologist) (County Cork) entered the tune as both "Bucks of Tipperary" and as "Malachy/Malichi Daly" in his large mid-19th century music manuscript collection. See also the related "Lads of Tipperary" from an earlier publication by O'Farrell (National Irish Music, 1804). Scottish versions, predating Irish ones, can be found in the collections of Aird ("Prince William Henry's Return" and Petrie ("Drumeddie (A)."
