BUILD A LITTLE BOAT. American, Reel (cut time). D Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. "Build a Little Boat" was in the repertoire of fiddlers Howdy Forrester [1] (1922-1987), originally from Vernon, central Tennessee (southwest of Nashville), who played with country music star Roy Acuff for many years.
