BUY BROOM BUSOMS [2]. English, Air (3/4 time). D Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AAB. The tune was entered into the c. 1812 music manuscript collection of Northumbrian musician John Bell [1] (1783-1864). However, researcher Matt Seattle points out that it does not fit they "Buy Broom Busoms" lyric and bears no relation to the tune that is usually employed for the song. He believes Bell's title is probably a mistake.
