CABIN CREEK [3]. American, Reel (cut time). G Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AB. This version of "Cabin Creek" was in the repertoire of fiddler Ernie Carpenter (1907-1997), of Braxton County, West Virginia. His two-part tune is cognate in the first strain with the first strain of Ed Hayley's four-part "Cabin Creek (1)" and the second strain of Henry Reed's "Cabin Creek (2)".
