CABRIOLET, THE. English, Jig. England, Yorkshire. F Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. A cabriolet was a two-wheeled carriage for two passengers, drawn by a single horse. It had a flexible top that could be lowered in good weather. It was developed in France in the early 19th century and was soon the primary vehicle for hire in the major cities of Europe.
