CAPTAIN KELLY('S) REEL [2]. AKA and see "Humors of Newcastle (The)," "Monsignor's Blessing." Irish, Reel. According to Brendan Brethnach (CRE III, No. 157), fiddler Kathleen Collins also called this tune "Captain Kelly's Reel", which Breathnach noted was a similar tune in O'Neill's collections. It may be also a mishearing of an alternate name for the tune, "Father Kelly's Reel (3)."
