CLOG HORNPIPE [1]. AKA - "Navvie on the Line." English, Hornpipe. G Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. The tune is the same as the hornpipe called "Evans," printed by James Stewart-Robertson in his Athole Collection (1884), save that the first four measures of the second strain are an octave higher. The first strain is also similar to the American old-time reel "Magpie."
