CONNAUGHT REEL [4], A. Irish, Reel (whole time). D Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AB. The tune appears in the large mid-19th century music manuscript collection of County Cork cleric and uilleann piper Canon James Goodman. The first strain is cognate with "Lucy Campbell (4)," "Reel of Bervie," "Lord Gordon's Reel" and "Puck's Scotch Reel" although the second strain differs.
