COUNT LEON. English, Triple Hornpipe. A Minor. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. The melody and country dance directions ("Longways for as many as will") were printed by London publisher John Young in all four editions of his Second Volume of the Dancing Master [1] (1718-1728). It was also printed by John Walsh in Twenty Four New Country Dances for the Year 1710 (p. 2), Walsh & Randall in their The New Country Dancing Master, Second Book (London, 1710, p. 1), and in Walsh & Hare's The Second Book of the Compleat Country Dancing-Master (London, 1719).
