AABB (Devil's Box): AABBC (Phillips). "Dark & Curly Hair" is on fiddler Charlie Walden's list of '100 essential Missouri fiddle tunes'. The tune was sometimes called "Darkie's Curly Hair" (John Hartford transcribed the tune from Cleo Persinger and used the title "Darkie's Curly Hair", but on Persinger's 2018 MSTOFA album it appears as "Dark and Curly Hair").
