DE BHARR AN CNOCH (Over the Hill). AKA - "De Bharr na gCnoc." Irish, Slow Air (3/4 time). D Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AB. The air is to an Irish Jacobite song by County Cork poet Seán Clárach Mac Domhnaill (1691–1754). It begins:

Ó seal do bhíos im' mhaighdean shéimh,
Is anois im' bhaintreach chaithe tréith;
Tá mo chéile ag treabhadh na dtonn go tréan,
De bharr na gcnoc 's an imigcéin.
