DISTURBER, THE. Canadian, Reel. Canada, Cape Breton. D Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. Composed by fiddler Theresa Morrison in honor of the speedboat built by her father and called "The Disturber." He had been a friend of Alexander Graham Bell, who in addition to inventing the telephone, used to experiment with hydrofoils on the Bras d'Or lakes on Cape Breton, near Theresa's family home.
