DONNA'S GOT A RAMBLING MIND. Old-Time. USA, Piedmont region of N.C. GDgd tuning (fiddle). In the repertoire of the late Odell Thompson (d. 1994) and Joe Thompson, African-American fiddler from Orange County, in Piedmont region of N.C. It is one of Joe Thompson's favorite tunes for calling at a frolic.
