DOUBLE LEAD THROUGH. English, Country Dance Tune (4/4 time). C Major ('A' and 'C' parts) & G Major ('B' part) {Carlin}: G Major & D Major {Barnes}. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABCC' (Carlin): AABB'CC' (Barnes). The tune was collected by Cecil Sharp from concertina player William Kimber (1872-1961), of Headington Quarrry Morris. Hugh Ripon [1] finds that it was originally a French tune composed by Charles Lecoq for his opéra-comique La fille de Madame Angot (1872).
