DUKE OF KENT'S MARCH [1]. English (?), March (4/4 time). C Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AAB. A march in the fife and drum repertoire. It was earlier printed in America in the Fife Instructor, published by Glazier, Masters & Smith around 1830, and subsequently picked up by Boston publisher Elias Howe for several of his publications. Howe's Musician's Companion (1842) contains tunes arranged by members of the Boston Brigade Band, a very popular and accomplished brass band.
