Composed by biography:Joseph Lowe (1797-1866), a violinist, composer and dancing master who taught members of Queen Victoria's royal household in Balmoral and at Windsor. He kept a journal of his royal visits, from 1852-1860, which has been reprinted [see Allan Thomas, A New Most Excellent Dancing Master, 1992).
