FÁILTE 'A PHRIONSAI (The Prince's Welcome). Scottish. A favorite tune in the late 18th century. Emmerson (1972) records that in 1785, at the Exhibition of Martial Music held in Dunn's Assembly Rooms, that twenty-four pipers played the tune (along with "Glass Mheur" and "Grim Donald's Sweetheart;" all long-standing favorites).
