FAIS TON DODO. Cajun, Waltz. D Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). One part. "'Fais do do' is a popular Cajun term for a dance. It is a Cajun phrase which literally means go to sleep. The whole family was brought to the dance and the babies would go to sleep. After a time the term came to mean the name of the dance. There are still many 'Fais do do's,' or street dances, in Louisiana" (Greenblatt).
