FARE WELL. English, Jig. England, Northumberland. G Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. The jig was originally printed by Northumbrian small-piper John Peacock (c. 1756-1817) in his Favourite Collection of Tunes with Variations, printed in Newcastle by musician and music seller Thomas Wright. Peacock was one of the foremost Northumbrian pipers of his generation, one of the last of the Newcastle Waits, and an innovator in pipemaking.
