FLAP OF THE EAGLE'S WING, THE. Scottish, Pipe Reel. A Mixolydian. Standard tuning (fiddle). AAB. Composed by Scots fiddler-composer J. Scott Skinner (1843-1927), dedicated to Mr. William Maclennan, a Highland dancer. Skinner indicated in his note on the manuscript [1] that the composition was his interpretive expression of Maclennan's "vigorous style."
