FLAT BOAT. This tune seems to be related to "Constitution Hornpipe (1)", a tune in F Major which can be found in the Cole's and Ryan's collections. "Constitution Hornpipe" was often played by Midwest fiddlers such as Bob Walters and Cyril Stinnett. The first six bars are also very similar to "Wood Picker (The)" but then the melodies diverge.
