Reasercher Jean Duval found the tune in Boucher's 1927 unpublished version of his 1933 volume Le Repertoire du Violoneux, under the title "Promenade." Isidore Soucy recorded a version of the melody in 1926 as "Quadrille de Québec 1ère partie."
