FOX RIVER. French-Canadian, Reel (irregular rhythm). D Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AA'BB'. The title perhaps refers to the Little Fox River, Petite Rivière au Reynard, at the northernmost tip of the Gaspé peninsula, Québec. The two strains have irregular rhythm, typical of many French-Canadian tunes.
