FRANKIE BAKER. Old-Time, Song & Breakdown. ADae tuning. In the repertoire of Mt. Airy, North Carolina, fiddler Tommy Jarrell. Jarrell's is a version of the song known as "Frankie and Albert" or "Frankie and Johnny" (see note for "Frankie and Johnny"). The title "Frankie Baker" for the song was retained in tradition in parts of North Carolina.

Frankie Baker was a good girl
As everybody knows
She paid a hundred dollars
For a suit of Al Britt's clothes
